At the Fountain Restaurant, 283 New Scotland Ave., Albany, NY.
Samuel Parrish "Sam" Ponder is currently from Pittsfield, Massachusetts.
On Aug 11, 2006 he performed as a guest of the band.
For jazz, Sam plays cornet and trumpet, but he also plays recorder and cornetto.
In these photos he plays a 1907 cornet made by H. N. White. It has a "shepherd's crook" design
because of the way the bell pipe curves out of the valve assembly.
