Burial Places of Jazz and Other Musicians
(including photos of gravestones)
Cliff Lamere 21 May 2004
The names of the musicians below are arranged alphabetically by last name. Eleven of them are buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in north Bronx, New York City. I have emphasized burials in New York City, but added a few additional jazz artists plus other musicians. All links are to photos of the gravestone or mausoleum unless otherwise stated.
Note: Gravestone photos will often enlarge if you click on them. For images showing the musician's signature, hold cursor on the image until an icon appears in lower right of image. Click on it to a get a larger, more readable version.
